Food Price Hikes as Global Fuel Price Rises
Food crisis has struck the world by storm, countries such as the United States has began to build stock piles of food to prepare for the worst. The shortage of food supplies is mainly contributed by unusual global climates which has direct effect on the overall production of food. The increasing demand on food causes unreasonable hikes in the food price.
Of course we could not blame the rise in the food price on the shortage of food supplies alone. Rise in the global fuel price is also one of the main reasons behind the hike in the food price recently. Fuel is used in various sectors especially transportation sector which has been heavily rely on it since decades ago.
